Herbal Colon Cleanser Ingredients – Part 1

Ever wonder what is in an herbal colon cleanser? Is an herbal colon cleanse even justified? Just existing in this world is problematical especially when we are surrounded by environmental pollution, in the air we breathe, the food we eat and in some cases, the water we drink. It would be pretty hard not to breathe, eat or drink so we must and in doing so can ingest or digest pollutants from car emissions, acid rain and agricultural products over treated with chemicals, hormones and pesticides. Even medicinal preparations you may take to treat stomach acid contain chemicals our bodies have difficulty processing. Hence, side effects and unpleasant symptoms with which we are assaulted daily. The amounts are only small but their accumulation over the years can lead to health problems and the only way to improve things is to detoxify, ideally using a herbal colon cleanse.

The first step in detoxification is getting the colon clean as it is the waste receptacle for the other organs’ by-products and unwanted substances including undigested food, which if left to putrefy can encourage the growth of harmful bacteria and the potential for colon disease. Once it has been cleaned then the liver and kidneys can rid themselves of their waste without it returning into the bloodstream. Without a clean colon, a cycle impossible to break is created. A ‘sluggish bowel’ leads to sluggishness elsewhere in the body, sleeping patterns are affected, energy levels are affected, bowel movements are affected and libido is affected. These can be countered by performing an herbal colon cleanse, the ingredients of which are available as a supplement ready to be mixed from a dry powder or a bottled liquid, often already measured or in sachets for ease of use and accurate dispensing.

Herbal Colon Cleansing

Perhaps the main concern in herbal colon cleansing is shifting the mucoid plaque that has been deposited on the intestinal walls. Just as dental plaque is unwelcome in your mouth, or arterial plaque is unwelcome in your blood vessels, mucoid plaque is most definitely ‘person non gratis’ in the gut. Mucous, naturally occurring in the digestive tract and meant to assist its function, may not be expelled in the natural process when the bowel is sluggish and with drugs and toxins present in the body, may harden and adhere to the intestinal wall and interfere with or inhibit good bowel function.
