Colon Detox and Eliminating Parasites – Part 1
A colon detox eliminates parasites?! Surely intestinal parasites are a problem that ONLY affects people in underdeveloped countries with poor water sanitation systems, right? Wrong! Parasites may enter your body in many ways that are totally unknown to you.
Without wishing to make you paranoid or OCD, have you thought about the bacteria on surfaces that people have touched after using the bathroom…and not washing their hands. Have you touched those surfaces too? Many parasites are acquired through consumption of foods or water that has become contaminated with raw sewage, animal or human.
Once parasites are using your body as a host they can breed and with something like the pinworm (Enterobius vermicularis) scratching at the anus during the night when eggs are laid and transferring eggs to the fingers (unwittingly) can lead directly to accidental oral consumption when nail-biting for example or contamination of surfaces that others may touch and then transfer to their mouths when masking a cough for example.
Pinworms are quite common in children because of the way they play…in dirt, with animals, sharing food and drinks with friends, without worry, without concern, without hygiene. If you have children, you may well have other little parasites too!
There are many different parasites that may infest the human body – and it’s not news really. Long ago, back in the time of our parents and for many their grandparents, we were wary. Fruits and vegetables were washed before eating them – under clean running water. Meat was cooked right through (some say ‘cremated’), no pink and no juices running.
