Millions of people are infected by the parasites worms worldwide. Parasites can enter our bodies through food, water, mosquito bites, or through the nose and skin. More than 100 types of parasites worms can be living happily in human bodies. Some are big in size that can be seen by eyes, while the others are microscopic in size. Only about 5 percent of these varieties can be tested positively with only 20 percent accuracy.
Parasites worms find a perfectly living environment when the bowel becomes ineffective in the elimination of the waste products due to constipation.
Parasites may be categorized into four types: Protozoa, Trematoda, Cestoda, and Nematoda. Nematodes include common roundworm, hookworm, whipworm, pinworm, heart worm, etc.

Parasites & worms in humans???
Ok I’ve tried looking online and I can’t find a simple answer. Can someone explain to me what’s the difference between parasites and worms in humans? Which are the common and deathly ones?…this is so gross and it’s kind of freaking me out. So I want to know about them so I can keep my health clean and safe =S

Ellen answers:
A parasite is simply an organism that lives by feeding off of another, whether it harms the host or not in the process.
Worms can be types of parasites.
E.g. Giardia lamblia would be an example of a parasite that is not a worm, whilst Ancylostoma duodenale (hookworm) would be an example of a parasitic worm.
